Join us for a free webinar presentation of our Equity in Transit: 2020 Report on December 8, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.

The report combines data analysis and riders’ experiences to discuss how transit has, and should, connect people to opportunity in Houston, especially in communities of color where demand is high and transit services historically low.

Throughout 2019, LINK Houston leveraged the Equity in Transit: 2018 Report to ensure the long-term METRONext transit plan delivered faster, more accessible, on-time service to equity high-demand areas first and foremost, a departure from prior tendencies to prioritize density in ways that benefitted more affluent communities.

The 2020 Report sheds light on improvements and investments in transit over the last two years, discusses how the landscape for equitable transportation is changing, including the significant impacts to transit during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how equity in and through transit for people remains important in Houston.
