The current global public health crisis and economic downturn will continue to upend the lives of many Houstonians who were already living on the brink of affordability. While local leaders are currently providing immediate rental assistance through the federal stimulus package to qualifying families, it is important to start developing policies and practices that can be implemented in the near-future to improve affordability long-term.
