Join us at the upcoming transportation-focused “Civic Saturday” for an opportunity to meet the new Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo!
Saturday, February 16, 2019
9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
BakerRipley Neighborhood Center
6500 Rookin St, Houston, TX 77074
Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s Office asked LINK Houston to serve as the convening partner for one of the “Civic Saturdays,” the civic engagement initiative that is part of the Judge’s Talking Transition. The transportation-focused Civic Saturday will take place on Saturday, February 16, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at BakerRipley in Gulfton.
“Civic Saturdays” are events organized around specific themes in various locations throughout Harris County. The events are designed to provide residents an opportunity to share ideas for improving communities and hear from other neighbors. The events are also an opportunity for communities to meet the new county Judge, who will participate and listen for insights that can inform her administration’s agenda and the way she collaborates with constituents to solve Harris County’s toughest challenges.
We are excited that representatives from the National Center for Aging and Disability at TIRR Memorial Hermann, BikeHouston, Houston Parks Board, the Kinder Institute, Air Alliance Houston, Public Citizen, and TEI will co-lead breakout sessions at the event.
